Euclidean quantum field theory on commutative and non-commutative spaces

Abstract

I intend to give an introduction to Euclidean quantum field theory from the point of view of statistical physics, with emphasis both on Feynman graphs and on the Wilson-Polchinski approach of renormalization. In the second part I will discuss attempts to renormalize quantum field theories on non-commutative spaces.

Chapters

  1. Notations.

  2. Classical action functionals.

  3. Partition function.

  4. Perturvative solution.

  5. Calculations.

  6. Exact renormalization group equations.

  7. Non-commutative geometries.

  8. Renormalization group approach to non-commutative scalar models.
